We Bridge the Divide

Access to the Internet is becoming more of a basic need and human right, but millions remain excluded in the Philippines. We exist to bridge the digital divide so that every Filipino will have the opportunity and capability to use technology to live a comfortable and meaningful life.

We Create to Include

Create Foundation is a non-stock and non-profit organization advocating for Digital Inclusion in the Philippines. We design our interventions to specifically reach specific sectors whose location outside the digital grid tends to be the most pronounced. Our flagship program, Create Hub, is for children and youth in rural areas and Residential Care Facilities (RCFs).

WE CONTRIBUTE FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR ALL

Only five years to 2030, the year when all the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) will have ideally been achieved, and yet only 17 percent of the targets are on track. In the SDG Digital 2024, it was highlighted that digital technologies could help accelerate SDGs. Similarly, where nearly 40 percent of the country still lacks reliable Internet access, the Philippine government considers digital inclusion as critical in achieving its development agenda by 2028. Our work contributes to these efforts.

CREATE WITH US

John Lloyd, 19, is a freshman at TUP (Technological University of the Philippines) in Talisay, Negros Occidental. He dreams of becoming an electronics technician and the first member of both sides of his family to earn a college degree. He is from the rural south of Negros Island, four to five hours away by public transport from Talisay. His ongoing adjustments not only include being away from home for the first time but mostly on how to do well in school with a meager weekly allowance.

A consistent honors student in a public high school, John Lloyd learned how to use the computer from his computer subject, and especially after he was assigned to his school's computer room as a working student in his senior high. But despite being computer proficient, he struggles to fulfill his schoolwork requirements as he does not have a computer. He needs to queue in his college's computer room or library, which are often crowded, or borrow from classmates whenever they can lend to him.

Our Coin (Computer and Internet) Grant under our Create ASPIRE will help level the digital field for John Lloyd and others like him to perform competitively in school. Give to this campaign or to another that resonates with you more.

The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation is a non-profit in the Philippines that helps children in remote and impoverished areas access education. It began in 2010 when friends discovered kids in a Zamboanga coastal community had to swim to school. Moved by their struggles, they provided a yellow boat to ensure safer school travel.

The foundation has since expanded, providing boats to various coastal and isolated communities across the country. These yellow boats symbolize hope and a brighter future for children.

Beyond boats, the foundation supports education through providing classrooms, dormitories, school equipment, and scholarships for deserving students. These efforts have improved the lives of thousands of children and their families, offering hope and educational opportunities.
