Evident in our programs are five key components in achieving our goal. These are Literacy and Numeracy as Digital Readiness, Digital Literacy, Availability of Computers, Access to the Internet, and Continuous Digital Upskilling.

CREATE ASPIRE

Create ASPIRE (Accelerating Skills Program for Inclusive and Responsive Education) is our program for Digital Skills for Social Good, Education Leadership in Tech, EdTech, and Tech for Education.

One of its first projects is the Coin Grant or the Computer and Internet Grant.

This is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

1. Know how to use the computer and the Internet.

2. Do not have the money to buy a computer and access to the Internet.

3. In need of a computer and access to the Internet for school, livelihood, and community work.

4. Willing to abide by the guidelines of the Coin Grant.

Our first Coin Grant applicant is John Lloyd Fernando, a student at TUP-Visayas. Read his story here.

Our flagship program for digital inclusion targeting primarily children and youth - the ANOCs (Abandoned, Neglected, and Orphaned Children) living in RCFs (Residential Care Facilities) and the rural learners in rural communities.

We are keen to increase the chances of the children and youth from these demographics being digitally included so they could have better chances to live meaningful lives in a competitively tech-driven world. To achieve digital inclusion we will equip the hub with:

1. Computer Devices

2. Internet Access

3. Digital Literacy - plus Arts!

We aim to install and operate at least three Create Hubs in 2025, first in Visayas, second in Mindanao, and third in Luzon. Our pilot Create Hub in the Visayas will be at the Home of Hope Orphanage in Bacolod City.

CREATE HUB

Our program to help improve basic literacy and numeracy skills for the digital readiness of future digital users. Digital inclusion requires a certain level of literacy and numeracy, and being able to read, write, and count are foundational in the transition to digital literacy.

In collaboration with the CIIT Library, we ran a book drive at CIIT from August to October 2024, and we collected almost 2,000 books and other learning materials. We shall send these to two recipients in Mindanao before the next school year begins - the Yellow School of Hope, an elementary school for the Samal Bajaus in Maluso, Basilan, and to a mountaineering group who will be our partner in Project CLIMB (Create Learning in Mountain Barangays). The group, who has been mountaineering to help promote tourism in Mindanao, led by friends Tadz and Tina, will climb to Barangay Pagonayan in Amai, Manabilang, Lanao Del Sur in the summer, to distribute books to former students of a public school that had closed because of a local conflict.
