What is the CLIMB Drive?

The CLIMB Drive is our campaign to collect literacy, numeracy, and other learning materials pertinent to the needs of a Project CLIMB site - a Summit. And to get to the Summit we need as many Stations as possible to help us find and deliver the needed materials. Our first climb in 2026 is to Liguma Mangyan Elementary School (LMES) in Mindoro.

Currently, the school library at Liguma Mangyan stands nearly empty. The few resources available are outdated, leaving students without the tools they need to be tech-ready in an increasingly digital world.

Project CLIMB (Create Learning in Mountain Barangays) is a digital readiness initiative under Create Library. Through the CLIMB Drive, we collect literacy and numeracy materials that will be delivered to remote upland communities.

Be a Station

The CLIMB Drive is powered by Stations.

In our climb, a Station is both a Volunteer and Space for managing the full collection cycle—from receiving donations to sorting, documenting, and preparing materials for turnover to the Summit.

For more information on the guidelines of being a Station, please refer to the FAQs below. You can also view our list of Stations below.

FAQs on becoming a Station

1. What are the qualifications to be a Station?

To volunteer as a Station, interested individuals and organizations must meet the following qualifications: 1. At least 16 years old if an individual. 2. Able to commit to at least 3 hours a week. 3. Can CLIMB Drive from 1 May to 20 June 2026. 4. Can follow all the CLIMB Drive guidelines. 5. Able to commit and maintain a space during the campaign to receive, organize, and safekeep donated learning materials (e.g., home, school, office, etc.). 6. Willing to reach out to potential donors (friends, school, community, organizations) and clearly communicate donation instructions. 7. Available to receive donations based on agreed schedules and operating timelines. 8. Willing to sort and check donated materials for relevance and condition. 9. Able to document and track all collected donations using provided reporting tools. 10. Able to properly organize, pack, and prepare all collected donations for turnover based on guidelines. 11. Must be willing to take full ownership of their station, maintain regular communication, and handle all donations responsibly throughout the process.

2. How to become a Station?

Step 1: Read and understand the context Interested parties must first read the Project CLIMB Station 101 to fully understand the role, expectations, and responsibilities of a Station. Step 2: Submission of application Fill out and submit the Project CLIMB Station Form. All required information must be complete and reflective of the applicant’s actual intended station setup. Incomplete or inaccurate submissions may delay or affect the evaluation of the application. Step 3: Screening and verification of application (3 to 5 working days) The Create Foundation team will review and verify the details provided. This includes assessing the completeness of the application, the suitability of the proposed station location, and the applicant’s capacity to fulfill the responsibilities of a station host. The team may contact the applicant for clarification or additional information during this stage. Applications may be disqualified if they contain false information, lack essential details, or if the proposed setup is deemed inaccessible or unsuitable for receiving donations. Step 4: Confirmation of acceptance (1 to 2 working days after application verification) Applicants who pass the screening and verification process will receive an email confirmation of acceptance from the Create Foundation team. This will include their assigned station number, onboarding instructions, campaign collaterals, and key guidelines. Applicants who did not qualify will be informed accordingly and may be advised to reapply in future CLIMB Drive cycles. Step 5: Onboarding and activation of Station (1 to 2 working days after confirmation) The Station enters the onboarding stage where they review all provided materials, including management guidelines, receiving protocols, and coordination procedures. At this stage, the Station’s setup is finalized and confirms readiness with the team. The Station may immediately receive donations once the onboarding process is completed and readiness is formally confirmed. Step 6: Climb Now you are ready to climb.

3. Why Volunteer to be a Station?

At Project CLIMB, our aim is to reach the Summit. By equipping remote upland communities with literacy and numeracy materials, we are clearing the barriers to digital readiness, one mountain at a time. Through volunteering as a station, you are not only collecting and moving materials, you are the first step that opens the path from the base of the mountain to the Summit. Volunteering for Project CLIMB allows you to: 1. Gain hands-on experience working with the non-profit sector: Develop your leadership, logistics, and community management skills by playing a vital role in collecting, organizing, and documenting the materials deposited in your Station. 2. Make a civic impact in remote upland communities: Directly contribute to the digital readiness of the Mangyan learners in Mindoro. 3. Foster community and connection: Serve as a local hub for community engagement by encouraging and connecting donors in your area to the Project CLIMB mission. 4. Expand your network of fellow volunteers and advocates: Connect with a community of advocates dedicated to bridging the digital divide and serve as a community advocate yourself! Help us reach the Summit. Be a station now.
