Princess, 18, loves music. She sings well and knows how to play the ukulele. Her favorite playlist includes common praise and worship songs. On Sundays, she helps in her church by teaching the children Bible stories and songs.
At the beginning of her senior high school, Princess had to transfer schools after her parents asked her to live with and care for her grandmother in an upland community in a different municipality, two hours away from home. It was challenging leaving her close friends and family behind, but as a natural leader, she quickly settled into her new role, made new friends, and continued to do well in school. Indeed, when she finally completed high school three months ago, she did so with high honors.
Princess is now a first-year college student. She chose to enroll in BS Information Technology (IT), inspired by her aunt, who is a tech professional. She also loves the idea of joining a male-dominated profession to create more opportunities for girls. After graduating from college, Princess hopes to land a job in the government.
A Coin Grant from us will ensure that Princess has the gadget and internet access she needs to learn well in school, increasing her chances of landing a good government job and contributing positively to her community in the future.
